Patrick E. O'Fiel, the 5th generation of O'Fiel family lawyers, was admitted to the bar in May 2002. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, after graduating from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He practiced law in Beaumont, Texas with his father until 2005, when he relocated to Kerrville, Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita. Soon after arriving in Kerrville, he established a private practice, which he maintains to this day.

Since Spindletop in 1901, the O'Fiel family has been practicing law in Texas.
