Christy Brooks works as Counsel for the firm, focusing on school and family law, as well as litigation techniques. Her previous work for school districts focused on state and federal laws affecting student matters such as discipline and special education. Her family law practice included Collaborative Divorce cases, in addition to divorce and paternity.

Her civic involvement has included serving on the boards of the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, the Greater Milwaukee Voluntary Action Center, Legal Action of Wisconsin, and the Task Force on Family Violence (President). She is a member of the Healthy Start Community Action Network for Milwaukee County (CAN). She also served on the boards of zoning appeals for the cities of Milwaukee and Madison. Christy has previously served as the McKinley Elementary PTA secretary and the Milwaukee Wellesley Club secretary. For ten years, she served on the Wauwatosa Civil Service Commission (Chair from 2002-2004).
