Alison Krueger has specialized in family law since graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999. Attorney Krueger represents clients in divorce, legal separation, annulment, paternity, child support, maintenance (alimony), grandparent visitation, post-judgment, and other family law matters, as well as assisting parties in mediated divorce cases and providing evaluative mediation in family law cases. Attorney Krueger earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology and mass communications from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Attorney Krueger, who is passionate about issues involving child victims of domestic abuse, interned as a child advocate at New Horizon's Shelter for Battered Women and Children. Attorney Krueger attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and studied law in Cambridge, England after studying and interning as a law clerk in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she received the Bank of Scotland Award for Excellence. Before graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999, Attorney Krueger worked for the Center for Public Representation in Madison, Wisconsin, where she advocated for health care reform and patient privacy.
Attorney Krueger believes in a collaborative approach to all family law matters and works closely with clients, opposing attorneys, and other professionals to effectively represent her clients' interests and best achieve their goals, whether through negotiation or litigation. Attorney Krueger believes that by concentrating her practice on family law matters, she is more successful at staying current with the law and legal trends in order to protect her clients and provide excellent legal representation.
Attorney Krueger has been recognized for outstanding service by the University of Wisconsin Law School and as the outstanding graduating female law student by the National Association of Women Lawyers. She was also named a Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2006 to 2013, a Wisconsin Super Lawyers from 2015 to 2019, and one of the Top 25 Women Attorneys in 2018. In addition, she and her colleagues were named Milwaukee's Top Family Lawyers in M Magazine from 2014 to 2019.
