“Accident Description (New Jersey, November 2nd):

On November 2nd, I was parked on the side of the street in my car with my flashers on, dropping off a few bags. A truck pulling a trailer made a right-hand turn and struck my car with the left back side of his trailer.

The damage began on the back passenger-side door and continued past the front passenger-side door, going deeper into the bumper. The impact popped the tire and broke the strut and stabilizer pin.

I was blowing the horn and yelling at him to stop, as it seemed like he was slowing down after the initial hit, but he did not. It felt as though he didn’t see or hear what was happening and continued to damage my car further, frightening me.

I started panicking after feeling my car move. I tried to get out of the car with my dog to get away, and I stumbled to the ground. Police arrived, took our information, and gave me a card with a report number.
