About Patrick C. Sargent

Pat Sargent specializes in structured finance and capital markets transactions, with extensive experience in commercial real estate finance and securitization, collateralized mortgage obligations, mortgage repo facilities, and structured financings of other asset types such as trade receivables, auto loans, single-family rental loans, and equipment leases. In commercial mortgage securitizations and CRE CLO transactions, he represents a national credit rating agency, and he also represents issuers, loan sellers, underwriters, investors, and services in public and private structured finance transactions, as well as other debt and equity transactions.

Pat has served as the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council's (CREFC) past president and on its board of directors, as well as the Structured Finance Association and the Mortgage Bankers Association. He was also awarded the CREFC Founders Award for his contributions to CREFC and the industry. He has published extensively on structured finance topics, including as a contributing author to the CREFC CMBS E-Primer, and he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Pat is listed in Chambers USA for Capital Markets: Securitization CMBS and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America for Securitization and Structured Finance Law as well as Texas Super Lawyers on numerous occasions.
