Mr. Abreu began his career in the State of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. He later worked as an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. Mr. Abreu currently represents persons throughout the State of Florida in both State and Federal court and has represented clients in federal court throughout the United States. He has represented some of the most notorious international drug traffickers and money launderers in Federal Court. His experience includes numerous jury trials, bench trials, and motion hearings. Mr. Abreu has appeared on WSVN Channel 7’s "Help Me Howard," "Maria Elvira Confronta," "Ultima Palabra" with Ninoska Perez Castellon, "Ahora" with Oscar Haza, "Sevcec a Fondo" with Pedro Sevcec.
Internationally, Mr. Abreu has appeared on WRadio, LaFM Radio, Noticias Caracol and newspapers/magazines such as El Tiempo and Revista Semana in Colombia and others throughout Latin America. He has been interviewed by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald regarding high profile cases he has handled.
Mr. Abreu is also a frequent guest on "Ahora" con Oscar Haza, a Spanich language current events television program where he addresses legal and political events in the news.
